Welcome to The Puzzle Board.

I made this place to put up Genealogical puzzles I run into while researching my Mother's paternal side of the family.

Hope someone can help with these puzzles. And you never know I might be able to help someone with a puzzle they have run into... :)

Florida Manires - Puzzle #1.

Here is my first puzzle to add here... It involves a branch of the Manire family that ended up in Mississippi and Florida. A whole bunch of them are buried in a Cemetery in Hampton, Florida. I'm trying to find the connection between them and the family tree I have going.

Let's see there is Benjamin Franklin Manire, a minster. Then there is Addie Lenora Manire and her brother John H. Manire. I believe they are related somehow but I need to find proof that they are... Which may be hard to do as they lived in the the 1800's/ early 1900's.

Please don't confuse this Benjamin Franklin Manire with the one that was born later in the 1800's and lived in Texas.

  Sarah Manerva Lawrence- Puzzle #2.

Wow I actually have another puzzle for the puzzle board. This one involves Sarah Manerva Lawrence who married two Manire Brothers, Lemuel Arkley and Isaac Houston.

Well it seems that Sarah might have been married 3 times in her lifetime not 2 times. She might have had 3 or 4 children. And she might not have died January 21, 1896.

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me untangle the facts and get to the root of the story of the family for Sarah Manerva Lawrence and the Manire Brothers.

James Lemuel Manire- Puzzle #3.

Okay Puzzle 3 sort of goes with Puzzle 2. Could James Lemuel Manire be a son of Sarah Manerva Lawrence and Lemuel Arkley Manire?

Well I've found a James Manier on the 1880 Census in Wilsonville, Obion County, Tennessee who is listed as son of Lem Manier and Sarah Manier. Could he be the James who married Nellie Frayser Ford or Sarah Catherine Lewallen?

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me untangle the facts and get to the root of the story of the family for James Lemuel Manire.
